Butterfly Marketing 2.0 Review

Butterfly Marketing is a home study course and viral membership software that Mike Filsaime of Mike Filsaime Inc. produced back in January 31st 2006. And the concept behind “Butterfly Marketing” is it allows you to grow a targeted opt in list and build multi-passive streams of income faster and easier no matter what your experience level currently is.

As an original ‘butterfly’ as we call ourselves, I have already been through the original training and have used the techniques and butterfly software to go on to build membership sites that continue to generate monthly revenue streams that work nearly on autopilot.

The original home study course was delivered to my front door and it contained several DVD’s and workbook(s) and the Butterfly Marketing Script Software. It took me about a day to go through everything but I read and devoured the information all day. Overall the information was good, I remember having questions still in my head that were unanswered which didn’t leave a good feeling but overall the experience was good.

Fortunately, Mike Filsaime had set up a secret ‘Members Only Forum’ where us Butterflies could go and network and share ideas. This helped out tremendously for me personally and it was like a small tight knit group where everyone felt like we knew each other and felt like family almost.

There was a huge downside however which made things tough for a lot of us and that was that the script didn’t always work correctly, there were a LOT of bugs in the software when it came out and thankfully we had a resident Butterfly and now great friend of mine Randy “The Hermit” who solved a lot of programming issues for Mike even though he wasn’t being compensated for his time and efforts. I really appreciate everything you’ve done for us Randy!

As more members joined and as New Butterflies came into the community we seemed to multiply the amount of power that we had and the concept of Butterfly Marketing was “Really Born” that day and as more and more of ‘us’ joined, we were able to take these concepts and take them to new levels and achieve even faster and better results.

I met Mike Filsaime for the first time in September of 2007 at the World Internet Main Event in San Fransisco. Before purchasing Butterfly Marketing, I had not really heard of Mike Filsaime and didn’t know the concept of Buttefly Marketing. I got a brief moment to meet Mike at that event, the guy gets trampled at any event he shows up to as you can imagine so I introduced myself and we spoke a bit and I really felt like I had known him for years. It was a great experience.

My first site I launched using the butterfly marketing software was done with a fellow butterfly who I met in the private forums. His name is Bob Jenkins and goes by “BobTheTeacher” for those of you who know him already. Like many of the original butterflies we all spent a lot of time in the community forums because there was so much information being shared in there and everyone was so willing to help one another that you couldn’t help but want to be there.

Bob and I met through the forums and I remember contacting Bob but not about what at the time and from that one communication I was able to build a strong relationship with someone who has helped me in my own business and I respect Bob Jenkins and am very lucky to work with him.

We were both looking for a new project to work on and Bob shared with me an idea for a product that he had but sadly he didn’t have enough time to work on it so what ended up happening is we both agreed to become partners in the site and work on the project together.

Basically we split up the duties of what each other was to do and we formed what is now known as Discover Cpanel.
