It’s been six days since I made my original post trying to get my bonus idea for Frank Kern’s List Control launch that is coming up on March 15th 2010. What I found days later after posting this was a little humorous because Jeff Johnson made a very similar post on his blog asking for the same advice…coincidence? Probably. But what is more disturbing is this “Guru” bonus war that is going on in our little community as a result of this launch.

Back in October of 2008 I made a blog post about bonus abuse and how the “gurus” are using these crappy, old and most likely outdated products that they bought rights to, had sitting on their hard drives or sold ages ago and they attach an extremely high value on them simply because they can in order to persuade someone to buy this new thing through their affiliate link so they get a huge commission check from the vendor. That article got me in a LOT of hot water with the “gurus” and some of them came rushing in to make posts and others flamed me in private emails. I guess I hit a nerve with them.

But my responsibility is not to them…it’s to you.

And because of that I have decided to make this post public…on my blog…for EVERYONE to see. You deserve to know the truth and see behind the curtain and make the right decision for you when it comes to buying a product for your business. I’m not going to be offering you some old crappy PLR product I bought rights to or give you old outdated products that I created and attach a high value on just to try and convince you that you need to buy Frank Kern List Control through my affiliate link.

Either you want this or you don’t and only you can decide.

I have decided that I am going to keep my bonus ideas for Frank Kern’s List Control secret because I don’t want them getting swiped and stolen from under me. Right now all the “gurus” are scrambling trying to build up an arsenal of crappy outdated products to try and pull a quick one and make their way into your pocket. What’s mind boggling to me is that if they actually cared about their subscribers in the first place…none of this bonus abuse would be happening and they could simply recommend killer products like List Control like I do and not have to try and persuade you to buy with sneaky tactics.

Do you think these guys are even going to actually “BUY” this thing for themselves? Not hardly. This is just money in the bank for them.

Here’s the deal…

Not only am I highly recommending you invest in Frank Kern’s List Control…I have seen the way Frank over delivers and takes care of his customers and I am going to be securing my spot when the doors open up on March 15th. So I not only walk the walk but I put my money where my mouth is…

How many “gurus” actually do that?

None.

The List Control System officially goes “live” on Monday March 15th. Because he’s NEVER released this system before and because he’s teaching a LIVE interactive training class …he CANNOT accept a ton of people so be ready to secure your spot when I let you know it’s live.

Everywhere you seem to look online there are more and more people talking about how list building is the easiest money you can make online and having a list is the asset of your business.

Is it really a good idea?

According to the email list building experts it is a great idea.

You can earn $0.50 to $1 per month or more for each member you have on your opt in list in many markets. Imagine that for just a moment. If you were building a list in the dating niche and had been online list building with success…chances are you would have a substantially large list. And it doesn’t take a large list to make money. You could have a few hundred to a few thousand subscribers on your email list and be able to make a decent amount of money each month from that asset.

But there are some things to consider…

The average life of an email address is roughly about 2.5 years and you must constantly continue to be building a list of highly targeted subscribers in order to make this formula work. It’s fairly easy if you keep your emails interesting and in your own voice and be yourself. Always review your squeeze pages to see how you can improve conversion rates and track your results to see increase.

There are many different ways to build a list and many people believe there are list building secrets or list building software where you can just press a big red magic button and it will build your email list for you. That’s simply not true and anyone who tells you that is off their rocker and you should probably not be listening to them in the first place.

There are only two things you need to remember when list building with this system. Traffic and Offers. I’ll say it again…”Traffic & Offers”. That’s all there is to list building. You have to be able to generate quality targeted traffic as inexpensively as possible and put a compelling offer in front of them. And one of the best possible ways to entice a visitor to opt in to your list is by using a specially crafted “Lead Magnet”.

A lead magnet is simply what you’re going to be giving the visitor in exchange for them entering in their name and email address into your auto-responder form. And once you understand the traffic part…list building becomes easy. You just sent all that targeted traffic to a page where people can take the desired action which is obviously joining your list.

Hey guys,

So no doubt you’ve heard about Frank Kern’s latest launch /product called “List Control”. If you haven’t that means you’re not on the list of ol Kern

He’s already giving away a ton of free stuff (Good Ol Fashion Kern Style Marketing) and it really hard to top him but from what I know so far of the actual product, he’s going to be taking a lot of the Mass Control type stuff and building on that angle with list building.

Now, he’s admitted it’s an advanced course and there is going to be content given away presumably that gets a basic user up to speed on how to even begin to build a list, but I wanted to ask my friends about their ideas on a bonus items for something like this that would really make it a no brainer for you.

So what ideas do you guys think would be a perfect bonus for List Control?

Hey guys,

I just created a quick video showing how I completely took over page one in Google for the upcoming product launch that I had just learned of only a few hours ago by Mike Filsaime. The product is called VOXFlair and I got the JV invite for the thing and decided to try something that I have just tried using again to see what kind of impact it had on the SERPS.

I think you will be impressed with the results but more importantly what should happen if I keep those results. The technique I’m using is simple but I’ve not done this before and should be viral if it works as planned. I created a piece of software that plays the video that Mike Filsaime produced for this product launch and embedded it into a form along with a retweet this link that will cookie those who retweet the video with my affiliate link…pretty sweet huh?

I will let you know the results I have after the launch happens. Keep in mind that I’m not a programmer, I merely searched Google for some example code and used that to my advantage.

Peace.

Today while I was reading in my private mastermind group I came across a post that really struck a cord with me. So much so that I felt that I have to post about this for you to read and share your own thoughts with me.

This is so “common” it’s pandemic.

How many courses, ebooks, audios etc. have you purchased just last year alone that promised you “XYZ” only if you took action? My guess is that it’s probably a high number. I was shocked to discover that so many people who are extremely motivated and excited to get money online actually fail. Sure, they buy the product they believe will be right for them and they go through it with excitement but they still fail.

I was shocked when I learned this from Frank Kern but he says that the majority of people who end up buying high ticket items online are actually newbies. Now there is nothing wrong with that…we’re all newbies at some point in everything we learn and actually the price point of the product is irrelevant but I personally thought that those who would spend that kind of money on a product would definitely be more advanced.

I was WRONG!

After reading other peoples comments and thoughts in forums and blogs I would often see a recurring theme among them. They were complaining. But like clockwork you could sit back and hit refresh and watch the program owners and their henchmen come in and discard the persons comment with the all too famous line…”You need to take action.”

I’m guilty of that one too.

I actually bought into that for a long time and it wasn’t until I really sat down and had intimate conversations with my own customers who are now my friends about their business before I soon discovered that it’s not about taking action…it’s about taking the right action at the right time. My friends and customers were actually losing their motivation. Not because they didn’t take action…in fact, most of them did take action…massive action and spent a lot of money in the process. They can prove it by the bills on their credit cards and bank statements. But those “gurus” always brush it off as them not taking action.

I personally have even bought courses where I was really impressed with their marketing skills and how they got me all hyped up and ready to buy only to find out that the course didn’t allow me to succeed. Sure they had really great information in there and if I could just apply that new found knowledge in my own business I know that it will give me another reliable income stream for my business.

So what went wrong?

They failed me. They made the mistake of thinking that everyone who bought their course was advanced or they assumed that I knew their fancy lingo. Big mistake. But as I started reading forums and blog posts about their product I quickly found out that I was not the only one. Now I’m a pretty advanced guy online but I’m also a newbie myself. That may sound weird but when I’m learning something for the first time and trying to apply it in my own business…I’m a newbie too!

Not only did they fail me in not starting from the beginning but they also don’t know their market very well and made the fatal mistake of marketing their product to ‘Everyone’ instead of one type of person. I actually see that a lot. They come up with all sorts of fancy marketing tactics to get you hungry to buy but kill your chances of success with targeting the wrong person and not starting from the beginning.

I can hear the “gurus” chiming in now…”You’re just one of THOSE people who just jump from course to course with no commitments to try a “proven” system throughly and probably does not even take action at all”…Sound familiar?

There are thousands of success stories with these products…sure…but what about the thousands of untold “I’m struggling” stories that will never be heard? I believe that the only reason we’re seeing such a high amount of these cases is really because these OTHER marketers are targeting everyone and not focusing their marketing on one type of person.

I really thought about this hard today after reading a post in my mastermind group forums and I wanted to share my thoughts with you and hopefully get you to share your own thoughts and feelings about it. In fact, this has totally changed my way of thinking. Focus on where you want to go and what’s already helping you get there.

Andy Jenkins, formerly of StomperNet, has finally done the coaching program that he’s always wanted to do. This brand new 8-week hands-on coaching program that was developed by Andy is being called “The Video Boss”. For the last 4 years, Andy has been making online videos that’s crush it for traffic and sales, but not only for himself, but also for his clients that pay him hand over fist and wait in line for an opportunity like this.

And this brand new coaching program is where ANDY GIVES IT ALL UP and teaches everything he knows about Video…Including going behind the scenes on the some of the massive launch videos that Andy has done (Jeff Walker’s “Product Launch Manager” and Amish Shah’s “Magic Bullet System”, just to name a few). And right now Andy is giving away a set of rip-snortin’ free videos away which you can opt in to receive.

You’re going to be able to see how to make crushingly awesome videos even if you don’t own a camcorder. You’re going to be able to Look Over Andy’s Shoulder as he does his thing. The best part is, you don’t need to be some fancy pants video guy, Andy’s case studies show “regular people” with no video experience just crushing the guys with fancy equipment using nothing more than Powerpoint or Keynote.

If that’s not enough…

Andy is going to hold weekly Q&A calls to allow you to have your personal questions answered by ‘The Man’ himself. So even if the modules and support that you are going to receive are not quite enough (trust me, it is not likely) you will have yet another chance to connect with the ninja video dude himself and get him working on your question. There is also going to be a LIVE Video Boss Workshop in San Diego. Imagine yourself connecting personally with other marketers and being able to get even more hands on content for you to blast past your competition and suck up the profits.

Andy has 9 case studies from people who are NOT GURU’S who are cleaning UP with rookie videos. He’s going to show you the fastest way he knows how to make video from SCRATCH, the best software to use, and how one dude got FOUR MILLION VIEWS from a 4-minute valentine’s day video he made for his dog. Think I’m joking? Think Again!

I was poking around online last night and came across a website with a handy tool that allows you to do research using a simple software interface. The tool looked interesting enough that I read the sales page for it and wanted to get it. They did a great job of convincing me that I needed it. The main promise is that you cut down your research time in half and that you have access to all the sites that you’ll need to look at when doing research for product ideas, writing book, or really anything.

The tool allows you to search four article directories, wikipedia, twitter, some forums, image sites and a LOT more. Ok, this isn’t going to be a sales letter for this thing but it does search a lot of cool places and puts them into one single location. The price tag was $37 for the software which is a good deal but I was really bored last night and being the ‘Geek’ that I am, I wanted to mess around and I decided that rather than buy the darn thing, I would geek out and try and code the thing myself.

I’ve uploaded it for you guys to toy around with, I’m not sure what I plan to do with it but you guys can have it free by downloading it from here.

I’m going to discuss some important things for you in the next 4 posts.

* Post #1 (this post)…

WHY I believe The 7 Figure Code is a killer product … and why I think you should get it.

Have you ever heard people in forums or messageboards saying that the reason for you not making money is because you don’t have the right “connections”?

There is a reason for that.

And the reason is all their fault.

I’ll show you “THE FIX”.

* Post #3…

I will share with you how I use only 1 of the things Mike shares in this course and how it’s changed my life forever.

I call it the Lazy Man’s Way To Profits.

But more about that later.

=======================================
About The 7 Figure Code and why I fully endorse it!
=======================================

Question…

Have you ever heard of Mike Filsaime before?

Probably is my guess.

Like us, he’s an internet marketer.

But this dude got started making money online just like I did, buying a product that changed his life and taking action on it.

He’s built up a 7+ figure business in a very short time over 3 short years.

He’s NEVER looked back.

And this is *WHY* I want to introduce Mike’s stuff to you.

Internet Marketing (and information marketing) is a GOLD MINE!

But trying to compete with so many other marketers can be very intimidating and nerve racking.

It’s easy to lose your shirt with a few bad moves.

The 7 Figure Code is one of the few really good products I’ve seen in a very long time that’s almost solely focused around the foundations of getting a 7 figure business.

… from the perspective of REAL 7+ figure internet marketers.

It also covers:

* Vision, And Your Hedgehog Concept
* History And Behind The Scenes Of MIkeFilsaime.com, Inc.
* The Sales Process Of A 7 Figure Business
* Why, When, And How To Outsource, Out Task, And Hire
* The F.A.S.T. Profits Method Of Running Your Online Business
* The New Pay-Per-Click
* A Behind The Scenes Look At The Tools And Resources they Use To Run Their Million Dollar Business

There are 16 powerful videos packed in this course that were taken from a $5k “Pitch Free” Workshop. This means it was 100% content and NO selling was going on at the event.

UPDATE: I now hear that there’ll be
some very special things being given to those who receive The 7 Figure Code.

Sweet.

At the end of the day, this is a good solid product focused around building a real 7 figure business. I had many takeaways after reading it.

I have little doubt you’ll think the same way when you get yours.

Look out for Post #2 next.

Talk soon,
Chris

* The New Pay-Per-Click

Talk soon,
